Story of the Month - "Ruby"

Hi! My name is Ruby and I am a Min Pin. I am one and a half years old. I was a Mother’s day present to my owner. Boy was she surprised to get me. I was very tiny and could fit into the palm of her hand. I am a cuddler. I like to snuggle up and be close to my family. We have another dog at my house that is my best playmate. Her name is Lacy. She is much bigger than me. We like to chase each other around and when she is getting close to catching me, I hide under the coffee table because she is too big to get under there. She barks at me trying to get me to come out for a few more laps around the house. We like to chew raw hide sticks together and I often steel hers away. She is very gentle with me, but I like to stir up trouble like all younger siblings with their big sisters. I have a lot more energy than she does because I am a lot younger and spunkier! I love coming to Waggin Tails to play with my other dog friends. This helps me get my extra energy out during the day. I like treats, walks, snuggles and kisses and chewing random items that my owners forget to put up. One time, I even got into a piece of gum from the garbage can and it got stuck to my paw. That was a little tricky to get off. If I don’t know you, I like to bark and pretend that I am bossy, but once I know you are “OK”, I can be very friendly and will climb into your lap for a belly rub. I have to go now because it is time for my nap. It sure is hard work being a Min Pin.
